Payment Method

Tours and Experiences with a short duration (1 day)

Reservations are made by paying 100% of the cost of the service to be contracted. To make a payment we accept:

• International bank transfer (usually costs between $0 and $40 depending on the bank) or,
• Credit card through PayPal (4.5% surcharge) through a link that you will receive in your email.

Travel Packages, Trips and Tours with a longer duration (2 or more days)

• To confirm the trip, we will send you an invoice with which you can complete the reservation by paying 50% or 100% of the contracted services via:
  • International bank transfer (usually costs between $0 and $40 depending on the bank) or,
  • Credit card through PayPal (4.5% surcharge) through a link that you will receive in your email.
• If 50% is paid, the rest will be paid using the same method that was used for the reservation and at least two weeks in advance of the start date of the contracted services.
  • If the rest of the payment is in cash, it will be paid in Taiwan (TWD or equivalent in USD – if paying in USD the bills must be new and unblemished) on the day of arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Tours and Experiences with a short duration (1 day)

• Notify 21 days or more in advance of travel date to receive 100% refund, minus 50 USD for administrative fees. The client must assume any cancellation costs derived (hotels, tickets, restaurants, etc.)
• Notify 20 days and up to 2 days before to receive 80% refund.
• Notify 1 day before to receive 50% refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before are non-refundable.
• In case of severe weather, natural disaster, changes in health restrictions or entry conditions into the country, or other force majeure, alternatives will be attempted, or a full refund will be provided, minus USD $50 for administrative fees. In case of free cancellation under these terms, the client must assume any cancellation costs derived (hotels, tickets, restaurants, etc.)

Travel Packages, Trips and Tours with a longer duration (2 or more days)

• Free cancellation up to 31 days before the trip start date. NOTE: The full amount will be refunded, minus USD $50 for administrative fees. The client must assume any cancellation costs derived (hotels, tickets, restaurants, etc.)
• Cancellations made between 30 and 7 days before the trip start date will receive a 80% refund of the total amount.
• Cancellations made between 7 and 2 days before the trip start date will receive a 40% refund of the total amount.
• Cancellations made less than 2 days before the trip start date are non-refundable.
• In case of severe weather, natural disaster, changes in health restrictions or entry conditions into the country, or other force majeure, alternatives will be attempted, or a full refund will be provided, minus USD $50 for administrative fees. In case of free cancellation under these terms, the client must assume any cancellation costs derived (hotels, tickets, restaurants, etc.)

What to bring?

Either we use private transport or public transport, be ready to walk certain distances. Some tours or experiences will be hike related as we’ll be in the mountains. In addition, Taiwan is a tropical island with heat and humidity most of the year.

Remember to bring the following, based on your fitness and judgment:

• Water, food, snacks, personal items (bug repellent, sunscreen, camera, money, etc.).
• Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots.
• Wear appropriate clothing and accessories (hat, sunglasses). Remember to check weather forecast before the tour or experience.

COVID-19 Update

Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Monday (Nov. 28, 2022) announced that it will discontinue the outdoor mask mandate on Dec. 1. Still, we ask everyone to follow the rules of the country when it comes to COVID protocols and wear a mask in indoor environments like stores, shopping malls and private/public transport.

Please, refrain from joining this trip if you are feeling sick or with temperatures above 38 degrees.
