  Beautiful hiking with full facilities  - Cristian, our guide, had planned the adventure with accuracy and attention to details. With a pick up at 8h15 with a comfortable minivan, after only 40 min drive we were... leer más at the trail starting point out of the city in the middle of a beautiful tropical forest. The first 6,8 km are a mix of stairs and flat paved trail. We encounter a big group of wild buffalos taking a mud bath. The most challenging part is the climb up to the pick, that is reachable with a long sequence of hundred of stairs. Cristian is supportive and motivating. Up there a beautiful view of Taipei city all the way to the ocean. All along the trail, Cristian is enthusiastic to share his knowledge about the history of Taiwan its contradictions and contemporary challenges. At the end of the trail, Luke, the driver, was waiting for us and with a Short drive down, we were back in Taipei. 5/5 adventure with a kind a knowledgeable guide.

  Perfect Day Hike  - This is the perfect day hike from Taipei. I opted for the extended route and it was challenging to me, but I am so happy that I did. The scenery... leer más and views were phenomenal and magnificent. My tour guide made sure that everything was perfect. I was not smart and did not bring any snacks and he gave me his food and water to make sure I was okay along the way. Where I’m from that’s called Southern hospitality. You will not regret this day hike.

  La cara más alternativa de Taiwán con HolaTaipei - Cuando viajamos no acostumbramos a reservar viajes ni excursiones organizadas,
pero en un país como Taiwán fue clave. La gran barrera lingüística hace que cosas tan sencillas como pedir... leer más direcciones, coger un taxi o ir a cenar, se te hagan una montaña. Muchos lugares turísticos ni siquiera tienen las explicaciones traducidas al inglés, por lo que no disfrutas al 100% lo que estás viviendo. Por eso fue un acierto encontrar HolaTaipei. Además de hacer varias excursiones por Taiwán con ellos, nos recomendaron sitios estupendos donde comer y dormir. Personal amable, muy atento y con un amplio conocimiento de Taiwán, amenizaron nuestros días con historias y anécdotas taiwanesas. Además de visitar lo imprescindible tuvimos la oportunidad de ver un Taiwán más alternativo!

You can see they are real experts and a great connoisseurs. Ask them about recos for dining options, a hiking or a place to get the best views of the city. Our tours were like an infusion of culture, they left us like we had lived in Taipei for a long time. Definitely worth it to get the full picture of this amazing place.

  Contactamos con Hola Taipei para informarnos un poco sobre algunas de sus propuestas y recibimos a cambio un e-mail completísimo con información adicional sobre Taiwan, aportaciones muy útiles que nos... leer más ayudaron a montar nuestra ruta circular por esa isla estupenda durante 3 semanas. Finalmente nos decidimos per un paseo por el barrio Dadaocheng de Taipei. Robert nos guió por cada rincón peculiar de la zona y nos contó un poco de historia taiwanesa para que nos situáramos mejor. Fue genial programar el tour justo al día siguiente de llegar porque todo cuanto nos explicó Robert nos ayudó una barbaridad para entender dónde estábamos, el talante de los taiwaneses, sus costumbres, sus supersticiones y también cómo movernos y qué objetivos priorizar durante nuestra estancia.

El trato de Robert hacia nosotras fue inmejorable. Es una persona atenta, culta, generosa, sociable, profesional, simpática... se amolda a nuestros intereses y aporta mucho más de lo esperado en todo momento. Y además habla castellano, catalán, inglés y chino. Bueno, seguramente incluso más idiomas, pero estos cuatro nos consta que los habla perfectamente. Y que hablase chino nos fue muy útil para poder preguntar sobre ciertos productos a los vendedores de un mercado fantástico al que nos llevó, por ejemplo. Al terminar el tour se ofreció para ayudarnos ante cualquier duda o información que necesitásemos durante nuestro viaje. Qué más se puede pedir?

Más que un guia fue un amigo, así que está invitado a que también le hagamos un tour tpor nuestra tierra en cuanto pueda escaparse 😉

  Bonita experiencia en el norte de Taiwan  - Hace unos días hicimos un tour con "Hola Taipei" por el norte de Taiwan, Jiufen y el parque geológico de Yehliu, fuimos con la familia y unos amigos y la... leer más experiencia fué excelente. Cristian, nuestro guía hizo un trabajo too, en la visita a Jiufen fué de gran ayuda especialmente con la traducción en algunos momentos y recomendando sitios para las fotos.
La próxima vez que visitemos Taiwán volveremos a contar con Hola Taipei definitivamente para que nos acompañen en alguno de sus tours.

  simplemente excelente - Nuestra experiencia con Hola Taipei (Cristian) fue genial, hicimos el tour al pueblo de Jiufen y al Parque Geológico Yehliu, y otro día hicimos el tour cultural por Taipei, es... leer más simplemente excelente, nos recogió en el hotel, y desde el primer momento el trato fue excelente. Transmite toda la pasión que siente por Taiwán. Aprendimos mucho con él sobre historia, costumbres, religión y auténtica cocina taiwanesa (una de las mejores) y ha satisfecho todas nuestras necesidades y expectativas.   Couldn't have asked for more!! - Me and my husband were looking for a hiking tour and Roberto kindly organised a local guide to take us.

We had climbed the highest peak , visited the waterfalls and yangminshan park.

Everything was perfect.

  You can't go wrong with this tour - I've done a lot of free walking tours all over the world, and Cris was, by far, one of the bests guides I've had. His love for Taiwan is palpable.... leer más I thought I was signing up for a small hike, instead, I got a hike, multiple history and geography lessons, cultural tips, a fun bike ride, and a newfound admiration for Taiwan and its people.

If you find yourself in town, you'll definitely want to do Hola Taipei's free walking tour to the Jiantan mountain. You won't regret it.

He was happy to adjust the plan a bit for us and we also got some really great pictures! Don’t hesitate to book this, and I think extra cost of a private tour is well worth it for these sites.
